I'm trying to register and myGateway gives me errors.  What do they mean? What should I do?

Contact Admissions & Records at 714-992-7075, or find us on Facebook or Twitter.

  • If you received an error due to a hold on your account, holds can be cleared by Admissions & Records or the Library.
  • If you get a test score error, either you haven't taken your Placement Tests in the Assessment Center, Room 513, or you have not cleared your prerequisites.
  • If you’re attempting to add a class during Registration and both the class is closed (full to capacity) and the waitlist is closed, you will get a message saying Add Authorization Code Required. This 4-digit Add Code can only be given out by the professor teaching the class. Attend the first class meeting to determine if the professor is adding students and find out if you are eligible to receive an Add Code.

I forgot my login for myGateway or it's been disabled.  How do I retrieve my login info or have it re-enabled?

Contact Admissions & Records at 714-992-7075, or find us on Facebook or Twitter.

How do I get my transcripts?

To obtain official transcripts, review the Transcripts page on the Admissions & Records website.

You can view and print unofficial web transcripts via myGateway by accessing the Student Records link.

I'm in high school, can I attend Fullerton College?

Yes, K-12 grade students from public or private schools and home-schooled students are referred to as Special Admit Students, and they may take college classes. Please print, read, and follow the instructions on the downloadable forms available at the Admissions & Records website.

How and where do I take my assessment/placement test?

Placement tests are required before enrolling in any English, Math, or Reading courses. Testing is available as follows:

  • Location:
Assessment Center, 500 Bldg, Room 513
  • Time:
    Monday – Friday from 8 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm
and on posted Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm

For current information, please visit the Assessment website.

Appointments are necessary. Please allow 2 hours to complete the test or you will be asked to save the test and return another day. Please bring your student ID# and valid photo identification.

When is my registration appointment?

Your Permit to Register (Registration Appointment) is sent to the email address you have on record in myGateway. You can also view the date and time by accessing the Registration Tools Box in myGateway and clicking Check Registration Appointment.

If you skip one or more semesters, you are no longer considered a Continuing Student, and in order to get a registration appointment, you must first submit an application as a New/Returning Student.

What happened to the QuickLinks?

Because of all the information that students find important and required quick access, the Quicklinks grew to be a very long list and, as a result, was no longer truly "quick."  We have taken measures to replace and enhance the functionality of the Quicklinks menu:

  1. We now have a Google-powered search that will search all Fullerton College websites, including all department, division and staff sites to find the information you need quickly, whatever it might be.
  2. We now have drop-down menus that contain most of the items found in the Quicklinks, but in a more organized layout.
  3. We have created a "toolbar" that you can find floating on the left-hand side of every page on the www.fullcoll.edu website.  This toolbar contains buttons for the five most-visited Quicklinks: Email, myGateway, Blackboard (Distance Education), the Library Learning Resource Center (LLRC) and the Campus Directories. (*Please note: Division and department websites are on different subdomains and will not have the FC toolbar). A link to the myFC web portal can be found in the footer of every page.
