Get $100 for your textbooks!

Buzzy Bookstore Bucks provides a $100 credit toward the purchase of Fullerton College textbooks at the Fullerton College Bookstore either online or in-person.

Eligibility

All Fullerton College students who are taking at least nine units for the spring 2024 semester are eligible for the $100 Buzzy Bookstore Bucks.

Additionally, units taken during winter intersession (Dec. 18-Jan. 24) will count toward the nine-unit spring semester eligibility requirement. For example, if you take three units during the winter intersession and six units during the spring 2024 semester for a combined total of nine units, you will be eligible to receive the $100 credit at the Fullerton College Bookstore.

How do I redeem my Buzzy Bookstore Bucks and what is the deadline?

Visit the Fullerton College Bookstore either online or in-person to purchase your textbooks before March 1, 2024.

In-Person

Please provide your student ID number to the cashier. Upon verification of your enrollment in at least nine units at Fullerton College, the cashier will activate your credit toward your textbook purchase.

Online

For online purchases, please carefully review these instructions. You will need your student login for the MyGateway student portal. The $100 credit will also apply to the shipping costs for your online textbook purchase.

Online Purchase Instructions

Go to bkstr.com/fullertonstore

On the main screen, scroll down to the box that reads “Get Your Textbooks” – Enter your Banner ID to display the textbooks you need or shop by looking up your course.

Choose the textbooks you want to purchase and select the format you want the material in (New, Used, Digital, Etc…) and add them to your bag.

Funds are only for textbooks and will not cover supplies, clothing, gifts, or other items.

Before beginning the check-out process, make sure you have popup blockers turned off.

At check-out either login, create an account, or continue as a guest (we recommend creating an account so you can check the status of their order)

Select how you wish to receive your books, either by shipping to your home or picking up in-store

At payment method, select the box that reads ” EOPS/CARE/FYSI/VOUCHER/BOOK AWARD/VA” . DO NOT enter credit card information unless the total is greater than the funds awarded.

Click on the box that reads “Student Login” and login into the MyGateway for verification. The school may then send you an OTP (one-time password) to also verify identity. Follow any prompts on MyGateway.

Select the box that reads “accept terms”. Click the box that applies the appropriate payment account. Make sure to apply payment AND click the accept term box. It will not ask for a credit card, unless the balance owed is more than the allotted amount or an item isn’t covered by the award.

At the bottom, review the summary to make sure payment has been applied correctly and confirm the order.

Students will receive a confirmation email for the order and a second email when payment goes through with a notification the books are either ready for pickup or have shipped. If picking up in store, another email will be sent when the order is ready for pick up.

After registration in 9 units, how soon can I redeem my Buzzy Bookstore Bucks before going to the Fullerton College Bookstore?

Students who register in nine units for the spring 2024 semester should wait for 24 hours before attempting to redeem Buzzy Bookstore Bucks. This allows time for databases to be updated.

I already purchased my textbooks through the Fullerton College Bookstore. Can I still get the credit?

Yes. Please find your receipts and visit the Fullerton College Bookstore for assistance and to receive a $100 refund for your previous purchase. The deadline to receive a refund is March 1, 2024. For refunds or exchanges please review the bookstore’s policies.

What happens if I drop below 9 units after I use the book credit?

You may owe the $100 credit back to Fullerton College if you fall below nine units before April 28, 2024. This is the last day for students to withdraw from semester-length classes. To avoid paying back the credit, you may wish to consider classes that start later in the semester to remain at nine units for the spring 2024 semester. I’m enrolled in Fullerton College Disability Support Services. Do I receive a textbook credit if I’m enrolled in less than 9 units?

Yes. A student enrolled in Disability Support Services can receive the textbook credit with less than nine units if they have an authorized waiver from Disability Support Services. You can obtain an approved waiver after an assessment. Please contact the Disability Support Services office at 714-992-7099 or dss@fullcoll.edu. Disability Support Services is located in building 800, room 842.

I am in another program that offers a separate book credit like Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) and CARE programs, CalWORKs, Foster Youth Success Initiative, Rising Scholars, Umoja or Grads to Be. Am I still eligible for the $100 Buzzy Bookstore Bucks?

Yes, students participating in these programs are also eligible to receive the $100 credit.

I am taking classes at another college or university. Do those units count toward the required 9 units?

No. Only units taken at Fullerton College will apply toward your eligibility for this credit at the Fullerton College Bookstore.
