SUMMARY:Speaker Series: Nina G (Comedian\, Author\, and Disability Advocate)
DESCRIPTION:This event will include a performance by Nina G\, Q&A\, and author signing. 50 copies of her book STUTTERER INTERRUPTED will be available for free to attendees. Food will also be provided. \nNina G is a comedian\, professional speaker\, author\, and disability advocate. On stage she encounters the occasional heckler but off stage she is often confronted with people’s comments toward her stuttering. Nina’s brand of comedy reflects the experience of many people with disabilities in that the problem with disability isn’t in the person with it but in a society that isn’t always accessible or inclusive. She is part of the comedy troupe The Comedians with Disabilities Act\, which brings laughter and awareness to audiences of all ages across the country.
