Phung Huynh: Life in Many Worlds
February 19 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Free
Fullerton College is pleased to present, Life in Many Worlds, a collection of works from contemporary artist and educator Phung Huynh as our 2026 artist-in-residence. The opening reception will begin with a Cambodian Dance troop who will bless the space at exactly 4pm.
Through drawing, painting, and multi-media making, Phung’s practice explores notions of identity through history, spirituality, and ancestry. Huynh challenges America’s standards for accepting refugees, how history engages with cultural and spiritual objects, and how ancestral lineage redefines the meaning of home.
The artist will open up her practice to the Fullerton College community through demos and other community engagement opportunities during her residency here for one week: March 2 – 5, 2026; 9am – 4pm in room 102. The Artist Lecture & Gallery Visit will take place on March 4, 2026, 7-9pm in the 200 building in rooms 224/226/228.
